Day #3

Today is Jeffery's 3rd day of school!!!! The 1st day he cried at naptime and the teacher sent a note home in his backpack...so I called her to see what he was crying for and of course with his speech delay, its hard to understand. She knew he wanted to go home, he wanted mommy and daddy, I asked if he cried for a "blue blanket" and she spoke with the assistant and they come to the conclusion that that was what he was asking for, they kept thinking he said he had "pooped" or had to "poop" because he dont say "blue" very well. So we decided to send his "blue blanket" back and forth until we can find another one to keep at school. This blanket has been discontinued, it has baby looney tunes on it, 3 or 4 of them sitting on Saturn, and its fuzzy. So the next day I sent it with him and didnt get a note home. So I called his teacher and she said he fell asleep sitting up on his napmat....but he didnt cry this time. So we'll see how he did today. He seems to like it.

Yesterday the most amazing thing happened....I was able to hold a conversation with Jeffery about school!!! I asked him what he did, he told me they played a game, I asked what kind of game and he told me a block game and he built a block tower, and a block house. He told me he went "night night" in school, and he had fun!! I almost cried, it was soooo cool he was able to tell me all about it!!!!
