For Clarification

My last post about the Trisha and her "Airport People" post, was NOT to insult her in any way. I did toss in one tiny insult, do I regret it, kind of...because I was stooping to her level for that 1 LITTLE incident in that whole post. The post was about bringing awareness to what a cyber bully she really is. It was meant to be a challenge for her to actually come forward and call ME fat...someone who can defend themselves against her, say it to my face. Not post a random picture of someone who had no idea it's there so had no way to defend themselves, child or adult. I think that was completely in the wrong. I have to say since I made that post I have seen a couple other of her posts where she posts pictures of people who had no idea they were being photographed...then she insults them.

I am happy to report that the original "Airport People" post was taken down. Trisha, if you are reading this, THANK YOU! Now if the rest of the insulting posts could go down, and it stop all together, I would be completely happy. You see, I have no issue with Trisha, I don't know her. I can't have an issue with someone I don't know and you for sure can't believe everything you hear online. Yes I am friends with people who hate her, but that don't mean I have to hate her too, I am not in that mess and I plan to stay out of it. Was I pissed at her for the post she made? Heck yea! But I wasn't alone. Would I ever join MomDot? No. I don't have a reason to, I have my blogging friends and thats great with me.

Am I happy with the way she's handling taking down the original post that caused all this mess? NO! She is now claiming the victim and acting as if what she did was FINE. The real victim in all of this are the people in the pictures in her posts. Now I have no clue what is going on outside of the blog world, she may be being stalked...I don't know. But to use her bullying and try to turn it around as if SHE was the victim. I think that is wrong. She needs to make an apology, not to the "internet" but to the people in those pictures, I don't want an apology, I'm not the one being secretly photographed and made fun of.

Do I still think PR shouldn't work with her? Yes, until all of the insulting posts are down and she makes an apology on her blog to those she insulted publicly. If she cleans it up and not posts PICTURES insulting people, I would happily read her blog again.

On the PR note, I got a comment that's suppose to be from a "PR rep for a major firm", I don't know if it's really from a PR or not, the internet is a funny place and anyone can pretend to be anyone/anything they want. The comment was"

"Anonymous has left a new comment on your post "Call ME Fat...not a teenager!":
As a PR rep for a major firm, I can guarantee you that no reputable firm would want to deal with ANY of you for stooping to this level. You are ruining it for all bloggers with your childish antics.
Grow up and good luck finding companies that want to deal with you now."

I don't know who you are talking about when you say "ANY", I'm guessing the blogs I posted links to and myself? I feel as if I didn't stoop to any sort of level, this is who I am, and that's what that post was about. I don't feel I was acting childish, I wasn't on twitter insulting anyone (I could bring up that whole fiasco but I'm not...it's not my battle to fight, but just know I'm supporting people behind the scenes who have been personally hurt by that whole ordeal), the only thing I tweeted was the petition. I am against a grown woman insulting minors on her blog, is that childish? I'm sorry you felt that post was childish. To be honest, I find that comment to be childish "Grow up and good luck finding companies that want to deal with you now." that sounds childish. How am I ruining it for other bloggers? I'm a small blog compared to some other blogs out there.

Thank you! It seems that in the aftermath the focus has shifted from the real victims (the people being mocked and trashed unknowingly) to the perceived victim (Trisha). Only one difference is I will never read Trisha's blog or anything she has anything association with.

Becky, it is turning nasty and the and it's sad people are going on the attack when in all actuality she did take the post down which is what people wanted in the first place.

I agree with you, until she changes her REAL blogging ETHICS, I don't want to have anything to do with her or anything she has to do with.

Thanks for the comment!

I highly doubt that was a real PR rep. C'mon seriously? They wouldn't post on a blog. Plus it was written like a first grader. A PR rep would email you if they had a real issue. Besides, you haven't done anything, so that's really reaching.

I do feel we are ruining this for ourselves. So while I highly doubt it was a real PR rep, I think all this fighting, harrassing, and contacting reps will eventually be the downfall of review blogging.

Think about it. If a PR rep deals with a magazine, newspaper, or mainstream media, they are not dealing or wasting their time on a bunch of women who are backstabbing eachother and can't get along. Do you think they care? Do you think they want to be involved in "she was mean to me." No. They care about promoting their product and doing their jobs effectively. It's a shame really but we're doing this to ourselves.
