Last Batch Of Holiday Gift Guide Winners!

I still have a few more Holiday Gift Guide last minute gift ideas reviews coming up, but here are the winners for SoftLips, Robeez, and Cook's Ham. I am currently snowed in still, so the Robeez and Cook's Ham won't get to my winners before Christmas and I'm sorry...but I can't control the weather : ( Jeff tried really hard to get my van out of here last night but it's stuck in all that snowy mess in our driveway...and he had to work today, luckily his friend borrowed a 4x4 truck for them to get to work the past 2 days.

SoftLips winner is comment number 143 (out of 214)

I entered the Eebee's Adventure's giveaway!

Robeez winner is comment number 36 (out of 68) (just a side note about this winner, they left a separate comment with their email address that I deleted but kept the information in my email program in case they won, I've had to do that with a few Anonymous who have forgotten their email in the original entry)

I liked all of the shoes by Robeez, but I really liked the mini shoez flower boot, I like the idea of it being difficult for the baby to remove the shoe, my daughter is always pulling her shoes and socks off and before you know it I am missing this sock and that, I like that the soles are soft I think that is good for beginner walkers.

Cook's Ham winner is comment number 48 (out of 65)

Holiday Gift Guide: Cook's Ham (giveaway)

This was suppose to be a review right after Thanksgiving, but after driving all over the city closest to us to 5 different stores, toting Jaxon in and out of the van each time (it was just me and him) and walking through each store looking for Cook's Ham, I got frustrated and give up. I don't eat ham anyways, Jeff, the kids and my dad do, so I was getting it for them. I even had Jeff go on their website to double check the stores that carry Cook's Ham, I had hit all of them in the city that the site had listed, even hit up Martin's that wasn't on the list. On the drive home I called another grocery store in the town next to us to see if they had them...nope. This wasn't a case of them being sold out, the stores just didn't sell them. Of course we live in the boonies and the city we go to isn't really a big city, it's just bigger than where I live. I have to say, Jeff and my dad were a little disappointed I wasn't able to get the ham, and I kept looking right up until the day before Thanksgiving so by the time I give up, it was too late for my dad to go out and buy a ham.

I was going to go to another town over and check their stores, but I never got the chance to go...then I got a message via Skype of a friend who was having a bit of financial trouble. She's a fellow blogger (I won't mention her name, but she knows who she is) and another blogger was looking for any bit that could help, I of course chipped in $30 of our own money via paypal so it could be western unioned to her that night to get groceries. Later I found out between our group of bloggers that chat in Skype, we got together about $400 to send to her! Talk about the power of blogging friends! I texted her and told her she would do the same if the shoe was on the other foot, she texted me back saying people in the grocery store were looking at her funny because she was crying like a baby she was so happy to be able to buy dinner for that night! I then remembered the Cook's Ham coupon I had for a free ham up to $30, that I couldn't use. I was told I could keep looking around here or hold 2 giveaways (since I have the 2nd coupon also in my possession) I thought what better to do with my coupon than to send it to her in my Christmas card. She needed it more than I did, after all it is the season for giving. I got a text from her a few days after I mailed the card and coupon, she couldn't thank me enough. She was thrilled they would be able to have ham on Christmas. I knew I had done the right thing, she thanked me and thanked me and was just so happy to have it. I told her she was very welcome. I thought Jeff was going to be upset with me that I had sent $30 of his money (since he's the only one who makes any money lol) and the coupon for ham that he was looking forward to...but he wasn't. He was glad we were able to help someone out. I believe in karma and not a week later he got word at work that he would be getting a Christmas bonus! His work don't give bonuses often, so this made me excited and I truly believe it's because we thought of others this year.

A little about Cook's Ham:

"There are many brands of ham available to you, but to ensure consistent quality and a great tasting ham, look for the Cook's name. That’s because Cook's hams always begin with old-fashioned bone-in hams for a more natural texture and taste. We slow-cure our hams with natural ingredients like pure cane sugar, real honey, brown sugar and maple syrup. For the perfect finish, we smoke our hams for hours using real hickory wood. This process gives our hams a taste that separates Cook's hams from the rest. Since their introduction by Cook Family Foods in 1983, Cook's branded hams and other smoked meats have been packaged and sold to leading supermarket chains and independent grocers throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico and Puerto Rico. In fact, Cook’s is the nation's leading brand of traditional and spiral sliced smoked bone-in ham, corned beef and smoked picnics." - Cook's Ham Website

Cook's Ham makes a lot of different types of hams, different cuts of ham, different glazes, bone in, and bone out, sliced ham, half ham, whole ham...the list goes on and on!

Cook's Ham website has tips on how to cook your ham, how to cut it, and even some great recipes!

Holiday Gift Guide: Robeez (review/short giveaway)

Are you getting tired of seeing my reviews of shoes yet? Jaxon probably has a pair of shoes for everyday of the week now! A few companies have sent them a little big which is good because that means he can grow into them! Robeez is another great shoe company for babies/toddlers (up to size 10 1/2-11 or age 3-4 years...depending on what you go by)

Robeez sent Jaxon a pair of Soft Soles Knighted Fox shoes, which are cute...but to be honest...I'm not a fan of characters on the shoes. I like to match everything, colors of the outfit to the socks to the hat and shoes too...and a orangish fox with silver helmet and shield I don't think would go with much...but that is just ME! That doesn't mean that Robeez don't make shoes that I like, and that don't mean that these shoes are horrible because of it. I like the quality of Robeez shoes, they are soft and flexible, easy for him to maneuver his feet while he's still exploring what his hands and feet can do. Jaxon does wear these shoes around the house, to keep his little feet warm while he's in his walker, they are cute...just not something I would take him out in.

Robeez are soft, they are easy to put on and they stay on, they have skid resistant soles, they are durable and they are good for foot development (the soft flexible soles)

"The best shoe mimics bare feet, by supporting - not constricting tiny growing feet.
Robeez footwear flex and bend with every step. They promote good balance and unrestricted growth, while protecting little feet from the world. They stay on too, with elasticized ankles to ensure a perfectly snug fit.

From crawling to cruising, walking to running, for indoors and out, Robeez makes different shoes for newborns to four-year-olds." - Robeez Website

The pair of Robeez I REALLY want for Jaxon are these adorable Puppy Booties! Heck, I want a pair in MY size! Don't they just look like the most comfortable shoes/boots EVER?!?!!?!?!

The Giveaway: I'm giving away a pair of Robeez Floppy Bunny shoes like the ones pictured here, in size 12-18months.

Main Entry: Visit Robeez and then come back and comment with the name of another pair of shoes that catches your eye other than the 3 pair I've mentioned in this post. Don't forget to leave your email address so I can contact you. Also...remember this MUST be done before any extra entries!

Holiday Gift Guide: SoftLips (review/giveaway)

I love Winter, I love the snow, the cold (yes I'm weird like that!) and the holidays associated with Winter. But, there is one thing I don't like...the way the air makes my lips dry at night with the heat going. Now, I keep a tube of Softlips next to my bed, in my car and next to the couch...anywhere I may need it (I would put one in my purse but I don't carry one! I know, I'm seriously weird, but I haven't found a purse I like.)

I was sent Softlips' Limited Edition lip conditioner flavors to try, holiday theme! Sugar cookie, winter mint, plus the brand new sugar & spice and sugar plum berry. Each lip conditioner is paired with a complimentary lip balm, sugar cookie is paired with cherry, winter mint is paired with vanilla, sugar plum berry is paired with cherry and sugar & spice is paired with vanilla. I am in love with the sugar cookie flavor, and of course cherry is my favorite flavor of all time for anything so that's excellent they come in the same pack!

"If you want to crack down on dry winter lips or soften your summertime smile, Softlips® Limited Editions have the perfect lip conditioners for you. Each dynamic duo features a Softlips® favorite plus a new, one-of-a-kind flavor to satisfy all you crave in your lip care. The Limited Editions offer the same silky-smooth formula and SPF protection as original Softlips®. So, whether you’re looking for a unique gift for a friend or a special treat for yourself, there are more reasons than ever to love Softlips® Limited Editions." - Softlips website

Softlips make the perfect stocking stuffer! They are just the right size, or heck, even tape them on top of a wrapped gift as a little extra (that's what I'm doing with the winter mint and vanilla pack...putting it on top of my aunt's Christmas gift) Not only do Softlips keep your lips moist, they also have sunscreen in them (SPF 20) to protect your lips against the damaging sun! Talk about a product you can use year round!

The price is just right too, the packs of 2 are $2.99-$3.99 each! Now through out the holiday/winter season, the limited addition flavors Sugar & Spice and Sugar Plum Berry will be available in Target and Winter Mint and Sugar Cookie will be available at Walgreens.

Stay up to date on the latest from Softlips by fanning them on Facebook.

The Giveaway: Softlips is giving one reader of mine a set of the new limited edition winter flavors!

Main Entry: Go to Softlips and then come back and comment with another flavor/product you would like to try (or have tried) Don't forget to leave your email address so I can contact you. Also...remember this MUST be done before any extra entries!

Holiday Gift Guide: Tiny Prints (review)

I finally got around to mailing my Christmas cards last week, and the response I've gotten is amazing! Never have I had so many people tell me how beautiful and unique my cards are! It's all thanks to Tiny Prints!

Tiny Prints had so many great designs to choose from for Christmas cards I had a very hard time choosing which one to pick for us. I knew I wanted to put pictures of all 3 of the kids on it, especially Jaxon since he's brand new to the family, a good way to introduce him to family and friends who aren't around here. When I found "Modern Santa" I knew that was the card for us! It had plenty of room for multiple pictures, and even an area for me to write a personal message. I decided to write a mini newsletter, in past years I've printed out a whole page or 2 of things that have happened to us in the past year, it was nice to actually have it in the card this year. The outside has a picture of all three kiddos, with their names and ages under their picture. The inside has 4 pictures you can see, I wanted to show Jaxon as a itty bitty baby and also the older kids holding him...and then the one good shot I have of them all together. The other side of the inside has our mini newsletter...just highlighting parts of our year.

The responses I've gotten are awesome! I sent one to each of my "Skype Girls" and yesterday when I signed on Andrea from Momma's Review had left a message saying "OMG JACKIE!!!!!! Your Christmas cards are gorgeous" Today Jennifer (Speedy) from Eighty MPH Mom said she got "the most adorable Christmas card!!!" and then asked me where I got them and how I did the newsletter inside. She said "I haven't seen anything else like it".

Ordering them was super simple too, everything had great instructions, uploading the pictures was quick and easy. The little snowflakes and candy cane on the inside are little touches I was able to add myself. For 20 of these beautiful cards, envelopes included (I added our return address on the envelope flap for $7 extra) and shipping, it only come out to $71.75 and even Jeff (who is a cheapskate might I add) said that was a GREAT deal and he could see doing this every year! One of the things I liked is they were easy to fold, they had a fold indent that made it simple...I didn't have to try to line it up straight when I folded them or anything...piece of cake!

Tiny Prints offer more than just Christmas cards, they do birth announcements, party invitations, wedding invitations, thank you cards, if you need a card/announcement/invitation, they have it more than likely!

Holiday Gift Guide: Pearl Paradise (review/giveaway)

I know as a woman, we can sometimes be the hardest to buy for. Or at least finding a reasonably priced gift for women can be hard. So this holiday season, if you are a woman, ask for pearls! No, they aren't all horribly expensive! If you are a man, give her pearls! You can look like you spent a ton, when really you only spent a reasonable amount! Where you may ask...Pearl Paradise.

I was sent a 7.0-8.0 mm Lavender Freshwater Pearl Necklace from Pearl Paradise, and it's beautiful! I never wear a lot of jewelry, especially necklaces because I'm always afraid one of the kids would pull it and tear it off. When it arrived I was so awe struck by the beautiful box it was in, it took me awhile to actually open it. It is a nice black gift box, inside a nice white box, just slap a bow on it and you can give it as a gift as is, no need to wrap either! I got the 18" strand, and gold clasp. To be honest, I have NEVER seen a clasp like this one...it took me 20 minutes of fiddling around with it, then when I showed someone my necklace I had to ask if they knew how to open it...it's a squeeze clasp...I have never used one, but now that I know how, it's easy. I can't wait until Jeff and I have a nice date night, and I can dress up and wear this beautiful necklace.

Not only do you get a necklace in a beautiful box, it comes with a pearl care kit and an appraisal.  The pearl care kit comes with instructions and a cleaning cloth. The appraisal is a certified appraisal by a GIA graduate.

Best of all, for all that you get with a necklace like mine, it's only $120!

Pearl Paradise has other types of pearl jewelry, such as bracelets, earrings, rings and pendants. In all different colors such as white, pink, lavender (I got, and it's beautiful!), black and gold. I didn't realize there were different types of pearls, I got the freshwater pearls, but there is also akoya, tahitian and south sea (to name a few), of course the different types have different prices.

**Giveaway Has Ended...Winner Announced**

The Giveaway: One of my lucky readers will win their very own 7.0-8.0 mm Lavender Freshwater Pearl Necklace from Pearl Paradise.

Main Entry: Visit Pearl Paradise and then come back and comment with another of their products you would like. Don't forget to leave your email address so I can contact you. Also...remember this MUST be done before any extra entries!

Holiday Gift Guide: Eebee's Adventures (review/giveaway)

With Jeffery and Jaylin I never really was into the whole baby videos. Jaylin had one of the Baby Sesame Street DVDs and it was cute, but she wasn't too into it. But I think Eebee's Adventures has taken the cake with baby DVDs. Jaxon got 2 DVDs to review and he watched from his walker and soaked it all in while I sat beside him and played along.

First of all, look how cute Eebee is! Jeff think's he's weird looking, but what does Jeff know! Baby's don't learn by watching, they learn by doing, and that's what Eebee's Adventures is all about!

"eebee's adventures are designed to engage you and your baby with rich play experiences that provide powerful lessons that memorizing letters, numbers, colors and shapes simply can and do not.
Watching and, importantly, “doing” eebee's adventures will allow you and your baby to see and learn first-hand what happens when you explore a crinkly, crunchy, smooth and bumpy paper mountain or roll, bounce, bop, bang, slide and toss your way around a world of balls and ramps." - Eebee's Adventures' Website

I sat with Jaxon and played along, we banged on things, making them loud then soft, in "All In A Day's Play". It was cute watching Eebee explore then when I showed Jaxon he looked amazed. It encourages teaching in everyday activities such as folding laundry, fixing something to eat, or anything else you do during the day. We also got "Figuring Things Out" which is suggests is for 12 months and up so I haven't shown it to Jaxon yet, but I have watched it myself and it's just as cute as "All In A Day's Play". Here is a little about the "Figuring Things Out" DVD

"Reflecting the day to day challenges and discoveries that define a toddler’s world, FIGURING THINGS OUTshowcases what can happen when a child’s newfound motor skills support her natural curiosity and interest in making things work and achieving goals.
Turning a light on and off, tracking a flashlight’s beam, and exploring the magic of playing with shadows are the focus of The Light Bulb Goes On adventure.
In Blocks and Tackling Ideas, creating (and crashing!) towers, laying rows, stacking cups and fitting different pieces together lead to a range physical, cognitive, social and creative skill building activities.
And in On the Go, a mountain of pillows, and a room full of obstacles to get over, under, around and through set the scene for an adventure that celebrates the ups and downs, ins and outs of getting where and what you want." - Eebee's Adventures' Website

Eebee's Adventures has more than just DVDs, they have books, toys, music, and clothes. Jaxon got a puppet, and it's just cute, Jeffery and Jaylin love to play with it with Jaxon, they make him laugh, it's sweet. It's so soft, Jaxon loves to grab it and put it up next to his face, of course he's doing that with everything soft, but it's still cute!

**Giveaway Has Ended...Winner Announced**

The Giveaway: I get to giveaway 2 DVDs of Eebee's Adventures (the 2 I reviewed, "Figuring Things Out" & "All In A Day's Play") OR a Eebee Puppet, I'll let winner choose!

Main Entry: Go to Eebee's Adventure's and then come back and comment with another product of theirs that you think is cute.Don't forget to leave your email address so I can contact you. Also...remember this MUST be done before any extra entries!

Holiday Gift Guide: Pediped (review)

What can I say...I love shoes, and baby shoes are the most adorable things! You have seen me review and giveaway Pediped shoes before, so it's only natural for them to be included in my Holiday Gift Guide too since I love them so much!

Jaxon got the cutest pair of Kyle Pediped Originals! They are the most darling things...of course I think I say that about all baby shoes...but I mean it every time, I have some sort of obsession with baby/kid shoes I think lol. These shoes are great for being dressy, or just casual, they are soft and comfortable (Jaxon didn't even try to take them off...it's as if they weren't even on his feet!) I think they are a "mature" looking shoe for a baby...not too babyish, which is great to me. I know, I'm so odd. Let's just say, Pediped has yet again, sent Jaxon a great pair of shoes! They never disappoint me! Here is a little write up from the Pediped site about the Kyle shoes:

"details

Sure to be a hit this fall are Kyle… a classic boy’s sneaker and the #1 style requested by customers. With faux laces and a Velcro strap Kyle will be the hippest shoe on the block. Available in white/navy, orange/white. and brown. Made with a suede and leather upper.

features

Soft, Cushioned Leather Soles - Made with a double layer of leather plus a foam pad on the soles for extra cushioning, pediped™  footwear provide infants with the ultimate in comfort and protection.

Jaxon approves, I approve, even Jeff thinks the shoes are cute (and he's not a shoe person!). Thumbs up all around! Pediped has tons of great styles for girls and boys, from newborn (Originals) to toddlers and kids up to size 12 (Flex) so Jaxon will be wearing Pediped shoes for a long time to come! These little shoes (Kyle) are only $32!!!

Holiday Gift Guide: babySnazz (review/giveaway)

Of all people to buy for, the hardest to buy for in my family this year is Jaxon! Lucky for me, I was introduced to babySnazz. babySnazz is an online store for all kinds of great baby gear. Great baby gear equals great baby gifts to me!

babySnazz sent me 2 pair of Agoo Leg Huggers (made of bamboo) to review, one pair for Jaxon and one pair for Jaylin. I love the feel of bamboo, it's so soft!

"They are 13 inches long and have a 1" knitted, elastic ribbing on both ends. They are soft and luxurious, odor resistant, and breathable. They keep legs warm in the cold and cool in the heat, thanks to their unique bamboo fibers.

  • Breathable

  • Wicks Away Moisture

  • UV Protective

  • Odour Resistant

  • Antibacterial

  • Soft and Comfortable

  • No Chemicals or Pesticides"

  • I put Jaylin's on her one day she wanted to wear a dress on a cool day, she kept pointing to them saying "buh fly" (her way of saying butterfly) She happily pranced around the house in them, and got on the bus, that afternoon one was at her ankle and one was halfway down to her knee...who knows if they fell down or if she pushed them down while bored...it was so cute seeing her getting off the bus looking goofy. I love Jaxon's, ever wake up in the middle of the night, have to unsnap all the little snaps on a baby's sleeper just to change a diaper? I put Jaxon in a onsie or a shirt at night and put his LegHuggers on him to keep his legs warm, along with a pair of socks, and with a onsie there is only 2 or 3 snaps to undo to change a diaper! So much easier! So LegHuggers could be a great gift for baby, but also parent's too! HAHA!

babySnazz sells more than just Agoo LegHuggers, they sell all different brands of leg warmers, along with multiple types of baby carriers, clothing, shoes, blankets...it's a one stop shop for all things baby!
