My Pillow Pets - Patriotic (giveaway)

The 4th of July is right around the corner (just a little over a week away) so Pillow Pets (who I've reviewed before HERE) is getting in the patriotic spirit!

I don't know if I've mentioned it here, but my dad was in the Air Force (USAF) for 20 years. He was actually in Korea when I was born and didn't see me til I was a year old. So I have a lot of respect for the people serving in the military and any chance I get to honor those who currently serve and who have served in the past, I jump on it. Pillow Pets is doing something awesome to support our troops, they created a special limited edition Patriotic Pup Pillow Pet. The Patriotic Pup is a cute red pup, his bottom is blue with white stars, like the american flag. I think it's just so adorable! Not only is the Patriotic Pup colored like the flag to support the troops, but $5 from every order will be donated to Scholarships for Military Children.

Check out MyPillowPetGives.com to order a Patriotic Pup Pillow Pet for $24.95! Get yours now, there are only 3,000 of these awesome patriotic pillows being sold at this price!

The Giveaway: One of my lucky readers will get their very own Patriotic Pup!!

Main Entry: I'm going to do this different, you can choose from 1 of 3 options as your main entry. (only need to do 1)

1st Birthday Celebration - Dole (review/giveaway)

When you think birthday, you think cake and ice cream right? Junk food, well what about adding some healthy food in there? Fruit? YES! Fruit is sweet, 2 of my kids love it! (Jeffery is a picky eater, I'm still trying to get him to eat more fruit). Dole sent us some Fruit Bowls and I have to say they did not last long in this house!

Jaylin's favorite was the diced peaches...goodness how that child LOVES peaches! If she could, she would eat peaches for breakfast, lunch and dinner! She's my weird child, I used to drain the juice off of them (less messy that way since the kids tend to spill them) but she threw a fit when there was no juice to drink afterwards!!!! When the peaches were gone, she had no problem eating the Diced Pears, Mixed Fruit and Tropical Fruit. The Dole Fruit Bowls were actually one of the first solid food Jaxon had to chew up...and he loved it, his favorite was the cherries in the Mixed Fruit bowls. Jeffery used to like Mandarin Oranges, but he suddenly stopped liking them! Oddball ;)

I think my favorite thing about the Dole Fruit Bowls is the convenience of them, just pull one out, peel off the lid and eat! Perfect for after school snack, or a just because snack :)  I put a few in the diaper bag for when we take long trips, we stop at a rest area and give the kids a healthy snack instead of getting something from the vending machine.

Dole Fruit bowls come in packs of 4 and come in 7 different varieties, Diced Apples, Diced Peaches, Mandarin Oranges, Diced Pears, Pineapple Tidbits, Mixed Fruit, Tropical Fruit.

Dole also sent us (well, the kids) 3 Marty Snack packs, which are little zipper pouches that are perfect for Dole's Fruit Bowls, even has a little key chain hook. Marty is from Madagascar and I LOVE that movie!!!!! He's the zebra, and Jaylin now calls the pouch her "zeba pocket" It's also insulated and washable.

The Giveaway: I get to give 3 lucky readers a Marty Snack Pack and a coupon for a pack of Dole Fruit Bowls.

Main Entry: Head over to Dole and then come back and tell me another of their products that you enjoy (or would enjoy)

1st Birthday Celebration - Zutano (review/giveaway)

Cute baby plus cute clothes equals pure adorableness! That is what happens when you put Jaxon in Zutano clothes! Of course you remember him in Zutano Itzy Bitzy line when he was a tiny little thing. He's just as cute in their clothes now as he was then. You can see him here on the right in his Itzy Bitzy shirt and hat (he looks like a doll baby!)

Now you can see him here on the left just a few months ago in a Zutano shirt and shorts (I know, hard to see it) But here is what the print looks like. I love how all of Zutano's clothes are bright and colorful! Jaxon likes them because they are soft on his skin and he enjoys looking at the colors too!

The Giveaway: Alex, Kristin and I have been given the opportunity to giveaway 1 $75 Gift Certificate to Zutano's Itzy Bitzy's line (size 0-3months, 9-13lbs)

Due to a fire at Zutano's warehouse and the Summer line damaged by smoke, the GC will not be able to be used until September when the Fall line comes in. I'm sorry for any inconvenience.

Main Entry: Fill out this form.

1st Birthday Celebration: Hawaiian Tropic Sunscreen (review/giveaway)

With Summer here, sun protection is a major priority in this house. Jaylin and Jaxon are both fair skinned like their Daddy so they all burn very easily. All sunscreens I've used in the past smell like coconut, which I can't stand that smell...drives me up the wall. Luckily the kids sunscreen we've had in the past (I can't remember the name, it was a whole case of travel size given to us) had no smell at all, so I didn't have to gag every time I picked up one of my kids. The other stuff we use is runny and oily feeling but it does the job...so we continued to use it. But now, thanks to Hawaiian Tropic, our sunscreen smells great and is a creamy lotion instead of runny lotion. Also, it's not oily feeling.

We were sent a bottle of Hawaiian Tropic Baby Creme Lotion sunscreen and also a tube of Baby Stick Sunscreen. Both have a light tropical scent, which I LOVE...I can still smell a little coconut, but it's not nearly as bad as other sunscreens and I smell the flowery scent more. Both are water resistant, and formulated with SunSure® Technology which is:
  •  Tested in the natural sunlight!
  •   Less chemical sunscreens
  •   Advanced UVA Protection -Hawaiian Tropic Website

I use the Baby Stick Sunscreen on the kids' face, just because it's so much easier than rubbing in the creme lotion since they like to move and I always almost get sunscreen in their eyes...it's such a fight. With the stick, they don't mind at all, actually they like to try to do it themselves (with mommy going over it again to make sure they didn't miss any spots)

The Hawaiian Tropic Baby Creme Lotion is so thick, I made a mistake and put too much on their skin and it took forever to rub it in all over. But, I didn't have to worry about it running down their arm and dripping and wasting. Tip: Use tiny amounts...you can always add more, but if you put too much....it's sooooooo hard to get it all used. It says it's baby creme lotion, but I use it for the entire family including myself.

Both the Baby Creme Lotion and Baby Stick Sunscreen are Pediatrician & Dermatologist tested  which is great!

A 6oz bottle of Hawaiian Tropic Baby Creme Lotion is only $11.29, and I know 6oz don't sound like a lot, but when you only use a little at a time (a little goes a long way) it will last for awhile! The 0.5oz tube of Hawaiian Tropic Baby Stick Sunscreen is only $5.49 (again, this stuff lasts longer than you think)

**Giveaway has ended...Winner Announced soon**

The Giveaway: One of my lucky readers will win 1 6oz bottle of Hawaiian Tropic Baby Creme Lotion and 1 0.5oz tube of Hawaiian Tropic Baby Stick Sunscreen.

Main Entry: Head over to Hawaiian Tropic and tell me another of their products you have or would like to try. Remember to leave your email address in the comment so I can get in contact with you...no way to contact you means I must choose another winner.

VTech MobiGo (review/giveaway)

My kids love technology, actually as I write this Jeffery is playing on his Daddy's computer. Jeffery has quite a few technology toys, a lot of them from VTech such as the VSmile, VSmile pocket, and the VTech Tote 'n Go Laptop (actually each of the big kids have one of these) I was actually surprised when I started thinking back to all of their toys, from when they were babies, to now, that were/are VTech brand. So I didn't even thing twice when contacted about reviewing the new MobiGo.

Jeffery was thrilled to have a new game to play when I showed him the MobiGo, and Jaylin wanted to fight him over it! So Jeffery got 15minutes first then Jaylin's turn...Jeffery wasn't as interested in it as Jaylin, once his 15minutes were up, he was done. Jaylin on the other hand, she hasn't put it down since she got her hands on it! I think once we get more games for it (ie Cars lol) Jeffery will want to play it more. Check out my cutie Jaylin playing the "squirrel" game tonight on my bed.

The "squirrel" game is where you use your finger to trace the lines to make things like bridges, vines, elevators, wheels and such...yes I said use your finger...it's a TOUCH SCREEN!!! AWESOME! Check this one out too...

Yep, that's a slide out QWERTY keyboard! Jaylin is learning her letters by "shooting ducks" you have to push the key for the duck going across the screen...in the difficult level you have to spell words. That's one thing I love about VTech is the educational stuff they come out with and the MobiGo is no different! There is counting, letters, tracing, find the difference, and music too! I honestly thought this game was going to be too difficult for Jaylin (it's recomended for ages 3-7 but she's a little delayed), but she caught on quickly....still asks for help now and then...but for the most part she sits quietly on the couch or bed and plays her game.

The MobiGo will be available at Toys R Us stores and online June 7th  selling for $59.99 and sold nationwide in August. Here are some of the details of the MobiGo:

  • Touch-screen: Applying touch control that includes tap, flick, pat and drag & drop, kids learn with fun on the same technology as parents do with their touch-screen devices.
  • Educational games: From coloring, drawing and playing instruments, kids can discover a wide variety of fun and engaging learning games. MobiGo teaches a wide range of skills including math, vocabulary, spelling, logic and categorization. The slide open QWERTY keyboard introduces older kids to text typing skills.
  • Downloadable Content: Additional games and content will be available for download so kids can customize their MobiGo with the latest innovative games and continue the learning and fun for years to come.
  • Portable: Handheld robust gaming console makes learning fun on the go for little hands and is equipped with headphone and AC adapter jacks

Here are a list of the games available, 1 basic game comes with the console itself...that's what Jaylin has been playing for 2 days straight! (more game to come):

  • Ben 10
  • Disney/Pixar’s Cars
  • Disney Fairies
  • Disney Princesses
  • Dora the Explorer
  • Mickey Mouse Clubhouse
  • Mr. Men & Little Miss
  • NASCAR
  • Shrek
  • Super Hero Squad
  • Disney/Pixar’s Toy Story 3
Games retail for $19.99, and you know Jaylin is going to want the Fairies and Princesses, and of course Jeffery will want the Cars...we may end up purchasing a 2nd MobiGo so they can both have one and not fight over it.

1st Birthday Celebration - FlexiBath (review/giveaway)

First birthdays mean first cakes...which equals a big mess right? If your baby is anything like Jaxon, he's scared of the big tub, and we live in a small place (for now, remember we're moving!!!) so we just can't find room for a decent size baby tub for him. So when I heard about FlexiBath I was thrilled!

What's a FlexiBath? It's a fold-able tub! Yep, it folds FLAT for easy storage, which I love! I tried to put Jaxon in the big tub before, and he hated it...so I kept using the baby sling which he was quickly getting way too big for. The FlexiBath is just a perfect size for him! I know one question most of you are asking, won't it leak? Nope, the folding areas of the tub (corners, middle and bottom edge) are made of a soft rubber that is connected to the plastic sides and bottom. The rubber stopper in the bottom is tight too, I have a problem getting it out and back in every time, but that means it's sealed good. Everything on the FlexiBath is non harmful materials, meaning it's PVC, phthalates, BPA free!

The FlexiBath isn't huge, it fits on my counter next to the sink, I use the sprayer to fill it up, and to empty it I slide it over (after I have taken Jaxon out and gotten him dressed) to the sink and drain it. Jaxon likes it because he's not overwhelmed, I like it because I don't have to bend down to wash him like I do in the big tub with Jaylin. When I'm done and it's dry, I fold it up and put it away! No space to take up!

FlexiBaths aren't bad in price either, $39.99 which is about the same as a infant tub (I think it's only a little more than I paid for Jaxon's bath sling!) You will get plenty of use out of it too, not only do I use it for Jaxon, but I also give our puppy a bath in it too (our pug Sweet Pea) don't worry, I rinse it out well before I put Jaxon back in it! It also comes in some great colors, I got the blue/blue pictured above, but they also have green/green, white/gray, pink/red, red/blue, and white/blue.

**Giveaway Has Ended...Winner Announced**
