1st Birthday Celebration - Build-a-Bear (review)

Stuffed animals are a big hit in this house, Jaylin and I both love them...so I can never pass up a chance to buy one (especially monkeys lol). So when I heard about Build-a-Bear's Zoorrific Collection I was thrilled.

I'm not even going to ask if you know which one we choose to review...because by now you should already know we choose the monkey! I initially got it for Jaxon, since it was intended as a birthday gift, but as soon as I opened the box and Jaylin threw a fit and had to have it. Now, it's sitting on her bed along with her other stuffed animals she's had to have, taken from me, or someone has bought for her.

Of course, the monkey isn't the only Zoorrific animal they have, there is also a flamingo, parrot, leopard, giraffe, tiger and panda. All of them are cute as could be. The monkey we got is so soft. Jaylin will sometimes let Jaxon hold it to keep him from crying, but she barely ever parts with it.

With your Zoorrific Build-a-Bear they are offering, for the first time ever, a free Exclusive Zoo Ride for your avatar in Build-A-Bearville and provides FREE exclusive access to the new Zoo in Build-A-Bearville! Get your Zoorrific animal today while supplies last!

Also, you have until June 30th to enter Zoorrific Orlando Sweepstakes, 2 grand prize winners will receive a 5night vacation to Orlando, Passes to the Orlando Area Theme parks of their choice AND all 7 Zoorrific animals! 10 others will receive the entire Zoorrific collection. Click HERE for more details and to enter.

1st Birthday Celebration - Dole (review/giveaway)

When you think birthday, you think cake and ice cream right? Junk food, well what about adding some healthy food in there? Fruit? YES! Fruit is sweet, 2 of my kids love it! (Jeffery is a picky eater, I'm still trying to get him to eat more fruit). Dole sent us some Fruit Bowls and I have to say they did not last long in this house!

Jaylin's favorite was the diced peaches...goodness how that child LOVES peaches! If she could, she would eat peaches for breakfast, lunch and dinner! She's my weird child, I used to drain the juice off of them (less messy that way since the kids tend to spill them) but she threw a fit when there was no juice to drink afterwards!!!! When the peaches were gone, she had no problem eating the Diced Pears, Mixed Fruit and Tropical Fruit. The Dole Fruit Bowls were actually one of the first solid food Jaxon had to chew up...and he loved it, his favorite was the cherries in the Mixed Fruit bowls. Jeffery used to like Mandarin Oranges, but he suddenly stopped liking them! Oddball ;)

I think my favorite thing about the Dole Fruit Bowls is the convenience of them, just pull one out, peel off the lid and eat! Perfect for after school snack, or a just because snack :)  I put a few in the diaper bag for when we take long trips, we stop at a rest area and give the kids a healthy snack instead of getting something from the vending machine.

Dole Fruit bowls come in packs of 4 and come in 7 different varieties, Diced Apples, Diced Peaches, Mandarin Oranges, Diced Pears, Pineapple Tidbits, Mixed Fruit, Tropical Fruit.

Dole also sent us (well, the kids) 3 Marty Snack packs, which are little zipper pouches that are perfect for Dole's Fruit Bowls, even has a little key chain hook. Marty is from Madagascar and I LOVE that movie!!!!! He's the zebra, and Jaylin now calls the pouch her "zeba pocket" It's also insulated and washable.

The Giveaway: I get to give 3 lucky readers a Marty Snack Pack and a coupon for a pack of Dole Fruit Bowls.

Main Entry: Head over to Dole and then come back and tell me another of their products that you enjoy (or would enjoy)

1st Birthday Celebration - Zutano (review/giveaway)

Cute baby plus cute clothes equals pure adorableness! That is what happens when you put Jaxon in Zutano clothes! Of course you remember him in Zutano Itzy Bitzy line when he was a tiny little thing. He's just as cute in their clothes now as he was then. You can see him here on the right in his Itzy Bitzy shirt and hat (he looks like a doll baby!)

Now you can see him here on the left just a few months ago in a Zutano shirt and shorts (I know, hard to see it) But here is what the print looks like. I love how all of Zutano's clothes are bright and colorful! Jaxon likes them because they are soft on his skin and he enjoys looking at the colors too!

The Giveaway: Alex, Kristin and I have been given the opportunity to giveaway 1 $75 Gift Certificate to Zutano's Itzy Bitzy's line (size 0-3months, 9-13lbs)

Due to a fire at Zutano's warehouse and the Summer line damaged by smoke, the GC will not be able to be used until September when the Fall line comes in. I'm sorry for any inconvenience.

Main Entry: Fill out this form.

1st Birthday Celebration: Hawaiian Tropic Sunscreen (review/giveaway)

With Summer here, sun protection is a major priority in this house. Jaylin and Jaxon are both fair skinned like their Daddy so they all burn very easily. All sunscreens I've used in the past smell like coconut, which I can't stand that smell...drives me up the wall. Luckily the kids sunscreen we've had in the past (I can't remember the name, it was a whole case of travel size given to us) had no smell at all, so I didn't have to gag every time I picked up one of my kids. The other stuff we use is runny and oily feeling but it does the job...so we continued to use it. But now, thanks to Hawaiian Tropic, our sunscreen smells great and is a creamy lotion instead of runny lotion. Also, it's not oily feeling.

We were sent a bottle of Hawaiian Tropic Baby Creme Lotion sunscreen and also a tube of Baby Stick Sunscreen. Both have a light tropical scent, which I LOVE...I can still smell a little coconut, but it's not nearly as bad as other sunscreens and I smell the flowery scent more. Both are water resistant, and formulated with SunSure® Technology which is:
  •  Tested in the natural sunlight!
  •   Less chemical sunscreens
  •   Advanced UVA Protection -Hawaiian Tropic Website

I use the Baby Stick Sunscreen on the kids' face, just because it's so much easier than rubbing in the creme lotion since they like to move and I always almost get sunscreen in their eyes...it's such a fight. With the stick, they don't mind at all, actually they like to try to do it themselves (with mommy going over it again to make sure they didn't miss any spots)

The Hawaiian Tropic Baby Creme Lotion is so thick, I made a mistake and put too much on their skin and it took forever to rub it in all over. But, I didn't have to worry about it running down their arm and dripping and wasting. Tip: Use tiny amounts...you can always add more, but if you put too much....it's sooooooo hard to get it all used. It says it's baby creme lotion, but I use it for the entire family including myself.

Both the Baby Creme Lotion and Baby Stick Sunscreen are Pediatrician & Dermatologist tested  which is great!

A 6oz bottle of Hawaiian Tropic Baby Creme Lotion is only $11.29, and I know 6oz don't sound like a lot, but when you only use a little at a time (a little goes a long way) it will last for awhile! The 0.5oz tube of Hawaiian Tropic Baby Stick Sunscreen is only $5.49 (again, this stuff lasts longer than you think)

**Giveaway has ended...Winner Announced soon**

The Giveaway: One of my lucky readers will win 1 6oz bottle of Hawaiian Tropic Baby Creme Lotion and 1 0.5oz tube of Hawaiian Tropic Baby Stick Sunscreen.

Main Entry: Head over to Hawaiian Tropic and tell me another of their products you have or would like to try. Remember to leave your email address in the comment so I can get in contact with you...no way to contact you means I must choose another winner.

1st Birthday Celebration: International Playthings (review)

Toy toys toys! With 2 older kids I've pretty much seen it all it seems...a lot of Jaxon's toys are hand me downs...IF the batteries haven't died in the toy (since some are really dumb and make it hard to change the batteries...and batteries aren't always cheap, at least the ones that last a decent amount of time aren't) So when I saw the Eco Phone from International Playthings I knew it was a good fit!

My first impression of the Eco Phone was the packaging itself, it was recycled material which was nice to see a company use environment-friendly packaging. Okay, onto the Eco Phone itself, I immediately thought it was rather large. Jaxon had a hard time getting a hold of it...but he made it work, he put it on his highchair tray and pushed the buttons that way...he enjoyed it. The cool thing about Eco Phone is that it's electronic, pushing the buttons makes the phone play music, and beep (pushing numbers makes it beep that many times) but no replacing batteries...if the battery is draining, just shake it and it charges the batteries in it, so it's like a never ending toy!

For $19.99 you can buy this Eco Phone for your little one (it says ages 12months+, and trust me on the + because Jaylin LOVES this)

VTech MobiGo (review/giveaway)

My kids love technology, actually as I write this Jeffery is playing on his Daddy's computer. Jeffery has quite a few technology toys, a lot of them from VTech such as the VSmile, VSmile pocket, and the VTech Tote 'n Go Laptop (actually each of the big kids have one of these) I was actually surprised when I started thinking back to all of their toys, from when they were babies, to now, that were/are VTech brand. So I didn't even thing twice when contacted about reviewing the new MobiGo.

Jeffery was thrilled to have a new game to play when I showed him the MobiGo, and Jaylin wanted to fight him over it! So Jeffery got 15minutes first then Jaylin's turn...Jeffery wasn't as interested in it as Jaylin, once his 15minutes were up, he was done. Jaylin on the other hand, she hasn't put it down since she got her hands on it! I think once we get more games for it (ie Cars lol) Jeffery will want to play it more. Check out my cutie Jaylin playing the "squirrel" game tonight on my bed.

The "squirrel" game is where you use your finger to trace the lines to make things like bridges, vines, elevators, wheels and such...yes I said use your finger...it's a TOUCH SCREEN!!! AWESOME! Check this one out too...

Yep, that's a slide out QWERTY keyboard! Jaylin is learning her letters by "shooting ducks" you have to push the key for the duck going across the screen...in the difficult level you have to spell words. That's one thing I love about VTech is the educational stuff they come out with and the MobiGo is no different! There is counting, letters, tracing, find the difference, and music too! I honestly thought this game was going to be too difficult for Jaylin (it's recomended for ages 3-7 but she's a little delayed), but she caught on quickly....still asks for help now and then...but for the most part she sits quietly on the couch or bed and plays her game.

The MobiGo will be available at Toys R Us stores and online June 7th  selling for $59.99 and sold nationwide in August. Here are some of the details of the MobiGo:

  • Touch-screen: Applying touch control that includes tap, flick, pat and drag & drop, kids learn with fun on the same technology as parents do with their touch-screen devices.
  • Educational games: From coloring, drawing and playing instruments, kids can discover a wide variety of fun and engaging learning games. MobiGo teaches a wide range of skills including math, vocabulary, spelling, logic and categorization. The slide open QWERTY keyboard introduces older kids to text typing skills.
  • Downloadable Content: Additional games and content will be available for download so kids can customize their MobiGo with the latest innovative games and continue the learning and fun for years to come.
  • Portable: Handheld robust gaming console makes learning fun on the go for little hands and is equipped with headphone and AC adapter jacks

Here are a list of the games available, 1 basic game comes with the console itself...that's what Jaylin has been playing for 2 days straight! (more game to come):

  • Ben 10
  • Disney/Pixar’s Cars
  • Disney Fairies
  • Disney Princesses
  • Dora the Explorer
  • Mickey Mouse Clubhouse
  • Mr. Men & Little Miss
  • NASCAR
  • Shrek
  • Super Hero Squad
  • Disney/Pixar’s Toy Story 3
Games retail for $19.99, and you know Jaylin is going to want the Fairies and Princesses, and of course Jeffery will want the Cars...we may end up purchasing a 2nd MobiGo so they can both have one and not fight over it.

1st Birthday Celebration - Hallmark (review)

As you all know by now, Jaxon's birthday was this past weekend (there will be pictures of a messy faced 1 year old, I just have to wait on my dad to upload the pictures) What does everyone usually get at least 1 of on their birthday?? A card....and to be honest, most of the time I check to see if there is money, then I toss it. Well, now Hallmark has made a card you won't want to toss out!

Hallmark has come out with a card that comes to life (webcam required)! I was sent a few of these cards to review, and when I read them and giggled at a few, then looked on the inside corner, it has instructions. Instead of going to the press release that was enclosed with the cards, I wanted to be surprised...as if I had gotten the card alone. So I opened up the website www.hallmark.com/extra and followed the directions, selected the card, downloaded the file, and then when I held up my card to my webcam (I had this little hamster, and inside it says "...loves you you you you." CUTE!) suddenly a 3D image popped up where my card was on the screen, and a little disco ball and dancing hamster starting singing and dancing! I couldn't help but laugh! It honestly made my day! My only problem was to see the dancing hamster (and all the cards were the same way I found out) you have to hold the card at an angle, almost flat...but not all the way down and that was a little difficult, because if it went flat, the graphic went away.

A few of the cards were more interactive...this one with the dog, if you rotate the card, it does different skits. One of them has a roller coaster with Hoops and Yoyo and when you hit the space bar, you take a picture of them going through the tunnel.

Seriously, Father's Day is coming up...and guess who's Daddy is getting one of these cards!!!! Hallmark has Father's Day, Graduation (I know you have to know someone graduating!), Humor, Kid's Collection, Walmart Kids (includes Toy Story and Disney Princesses...Jaylin is going to get one of those for her birthday in September!!), Mother's Day, and Valentines Day!

Some of the cards have music/voice without the need of a computer...it just adds to the awesomeness of the card! Cards without the sound retail for $2.99 and with sound retail for $5.99. You can find these awesome cards at any Hallmark Gold Crown store and other retailers where Hallmark cards are sold.

Pillow Pets (review)

I can remember seeing the commercial on TV for Pillow Pets...I thought they were so cute, and Jaylin would pipe up and say "want that". Seriously, you can't get that song out of your head...I listened to it right before writing this and I think it'll be there all night now! "It's a pillow....it's a pet....it's a pillowpet!" haha! So when I got a chance to review a Pillow Pet...I jumped right on it!

I have to start with the funny story of picking out Jaylin's Pillow Pet, I pulled up their website and had Jaylin sitting on the bed beside me. I told her she could pick out 1 and she would get it...can I just say she wanted ALL of them! There were sooooooo many adorable ones, a purple unicorn, a bunny, a dog (or 2 lol) even an elephant, moose and dolphin...there are seriously too many to name....check out their website to see them all. Because she kept changing her mind...I decided to pick one for her (seriously, she would love any and all of them) and of course...I picked the monkey Pillow Pet. I made a good choice (not like there could be a bad one hahahahaha!)

So what is a Pillow Pet (for those of you living under a rock lol) It's a stuffed animal that can unfold to become a full sized pillow. I was actually quite shocked at the size of the Pillow Pet when it arrived...it's about half the size of Jaylin...she had a hard time getting her arms around the monkey! Although it's huge...she lugged that monkey EVERYWHERE! I wish I had a picture, but she carried it to Jeffery's t-ball practice one day! You can see her here sleeping with the monkey Pillow Pet. It opens from the "pet" to the pillow easily...but redoing it I found it a little odd....the one end has a flap to cover it when not attached to the other end (I see the reason...because it's rough) but Jaylin can't get that little flap off the velcro hooks to hook it back to the other side, she always brings it back to me to "fix" (her words lol)

One thing you can't tell by looking at the commercial or the website...is how soft the Pillow Pet is...it's sooooooo silky smooth and I want one for myself (Jeff said I picked the monkey for me anyways lol) for only $19.95. If we had the room, I think we would have every Pillow Pet there is lol, Jeffery wants one now too...so maybe when we have some extra money we'll get one for him.

Summer is just around the corner (feels like it already around here) and Pillow Pets has a special Summer Giveaway going on...just send in your video of where your Pillow Pet has gone with you this Summer! The prize? Your choice of Pillow Pet AND one for each of your friends (up to 10)! How awesome is that?!?!?! Check out all the details HERE. You have until July 31st to submit your video...and one winner will be chosen every 3 weeks between May 31st and August 22nd, so there are plenty of chances to win!

Boudreaux’s Butt Paste (review)

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Boudreaux's Butt Paste. All opinions are 100% mine.

Being that Jaxon is my 3rd baby, I know all too well the battle of diaper rash. I've went through plenty of brands of diaper rash cream. The one that my kids' pediatrician recommended and even give me samples of when Jeffery and Jaylin were babies was Boudreaux's Butt Paste, so when I got a chance to review it for Jaxon I accepted happily since he's been getting diaper rash lately.

Jaxon's diaper rash gets bad real fast, no sign of it coming, it just appears and is usually oozing or bleeding (especially lately when he had diarrhea) he would scream as I wiped his butt, but as soon as I put the Boudreaux's Butt Paste on him, he was calm. Then by the next diaper change his rash was almost gone! I will no longer buy or use any other diaper rash cream! It's going to be Boudreaux's Butt Paste from now on! I've even been telling friends of mine about it, and I make sure I keep a tube of it in the diaper bag for when others are watching him. The cream itself is thick, so it sticks to his butt and don't easily rub off in the diaper. I'm sure if Jaxon could talk, he would say "thank you Boudreaux's Butt Paste for making my bum feel better!"

If you want to get a free sample of Boudreaux’s Butt Paste you can go HERE.

1st Birthday Celebration - FlexiBath (review/giveaway)

First birthdays mean first cakes...which equals a big mess right? If your baby is anything like Jaxon, he's scared of the big tub, and we live in a small place (for now, remember we're moving!!!) so we just can't find room for a decent size baby tub for him. So when I heard about FlexiBath I was thrilled!

What's a FlexiBath? It's a fold-able tub! Yep, it folds FLAT for easy storage, which I love! I tried to put Jaxon in the big tub before, and he hated it...so I kept using the baby sling which he was quickly getting way too big for. The FlexiBath is just a perfect size for him! I know one question most of you are asking, won't it leak? Nope, the folding areas of the tub (corners, middle and bottom edge) are made of a soft rubber that is connected to the plastic sides and bottom. The rubber stopper in the bottom is tight too, I have a problem getting it out and back in every time, but that means it's sealed good. Everything on the FlexiBath is non harmful materials, meaning it's PVC, phthalates, BPA free!

The FlexiBath isn't huge, it fits on my counter next to the sink, I use the sprayer to fill it up, and to empty it I slide it over (after I have taken Jaxon out and gotten him dressed) to the sink and drain it. Jaxon likes it because he's not overwhelmed, I like it because I don't have to bend down to wash him like I do in the big tub with Jaylin. When I'm done and it's dry, I fold it up and put it away! No space to take up!

FlexiBaths aren't bad in price either, $39.99 which is about the same as a infant tub (I think it's only a little more than I paid for Jaxon's bath sling!) You will get plenty of use out of it too, not only do I use it for Jaxon, but I also give our puppy a bath in it too (our pug Sweet Pea) don't worry, I rinse it out well before I put Jaxon back in it! It also comes in some great colors, I got the blue/blue pictured above, but they also have green/green, white/gray, pink/red, red/blue, and white/blue.

In less than a month, my baby boy will be 1 year old. It's a big deal! What better way to celebrate it than to show everyone what a big boy he is! Now Jaxon is set to show the world that he's turning 1, all thanks to My Fast Basket, check him out!
Yes, that's my little baby decked out in a "Look Who's 1" hat and bib, and also a cute blue shirt that matches, all 3 were in the brand new "Look Who's Turning 1" Boy's Birthday Gift Basket from My Fast Basket! Seriously, isn't he the most darling little boy turning 1 (I say boy because Brooklin and Ariana are the cutest little girls turning 1 ;) ) You can so tell he's rotten, just look at that grin! Ok, back to the Look Who's Turning 1 Boy's Birthday Gift Basket. Included in the basket is the hat, bib, and shirt (size 12-18months, and as you can see it fits my big boy Jaxon who is 21lbs, it's actually a tad big) pictured (it's a plain light blue shirt with the sleeves and collar outlined in the same as the bib, dark blue with polka dots) the basket also includes a CD of children's stories and songs (Little Boy Blue) and a Boyds plush dog. The Boyds dog is bigger than I expected, check it out sitting with Jaxon here. It's also very soft! When I first opened the basket, Jaylin took off with the dog!
And, just because he's rotten and I love pictures of him, here's another picture with the dog.
Here is a picture from My Fast Basket's website of everything together (and also the girl's version)

Of course you can see that the girl's version has a bunny, and the CD is Little Ms. Muffet.
