Shimmermeblue (review/giveaway)

A good blogging friend of mine Melissa (from Outnumbered 3 to 1) owns a Etsy shop for homemade jewelry and I've admired her work since I found out about it. So when she asked if I wanted to review one of her items I jumped on that real fast! Her Etsy shop is called ShimmerMeBlue and she makes such beautiful jewelry!

I choose the Tickled Pink Bookthong to review...yes a book THONG haha! I had a good laugh with her when I found out that's what they were called. Yes, I can be immature, but that's just me. Anyways, when the bookthong come it was even more beautiful than these pictures can show! Melissa does an awesome job! The beads are heavy duty, I'm serious, this thing is light, but it has a heaviness to it. It's a lot heavier than I thought a beaded bookthong would be. I also thought it would be strung together with thread or some sort of string, but nope, it's wire, which to me means it's going to last. I love the little charm at the end that says "follow your dreams" It's the perfect size for just about any good book, I am getting the new Beverly Barton book the beginning of February when it comes out, and this is going to be perfect for keeping my place in it! It's 14 1/2 inches total length, with the portion that goes in a book at 9 1/2 inches (for a 9inch book or smaller)

ShimmerMeBlue has much more than just bookthongs, she also makes watches, necklaces, bracelets, earrings and possibly in the near future rings!
